super sculpey

lol weeeellll I guess what I really want is a tutorial but I don't want to bug people to much.
I have seen other people with tutorials and I guessing the process is, for the most part, the same.

What I understand is you're are making an armature of wire, then using super scupley for your sculpture. then firing it and painting it. That pretty much it in a nut shell?

I really would like to try it but never seen it done and never done anything like that myself.

I think your technique for sculpting your muscles really mystifies me, to some extent. Great job by the way, I love the final product.

I'm guessing your using scupley by the boxes of it that you have in some of your photos. Do you use any other type of clay product or material to sculpt with?

Yeah, you've pretty much got it. I use an oven to bake it and I usually prime it first, then paint it. I also use castilene sometimes. It's a form of wax. You can get a bit more detail with it. Lou's head was made out of the stuff. I've still got to go back and fix the hair. I guess the only way to see if you're good at it and if you're truly interested...give it a try! Thanks man!
